Saltwater & Song began with barefoot mornings, and denim soaked in sun

Hi, I'm Aviv, the founder of Saltwater and Song. I grew up on the shoreline of Sydney’s coast, spending my days with sandy feet and helping my parents run their beachside kiosk.

Denim has always been part of my world: my dad worked with denim, and his study was filled with samples, washes and fabrics. I grew up watching him, learning how denim ages, how the sun softens it and how every wash tells a different story. Now he’s passing that knowledge down to me, and I’m soaking up everything I can.

I design every piece for those who live in the classic Aussie uniform: barefoot, in denim and a bikini. I’m drawn to vintage-inspired denim with a lived-in feel - washes softened by age and shaped into something personal. Nothing feels too perfect. I love denim that carries character.

I name each style after a women artist who inspires creativity and independence - Lana Del Ray, Olivia Dean and Amy Winehouse to name a few. It’s my small way of celebrating the women whose work I look up to while building something of my own.

Saltwater and Song is my brand born from a childhood spent on the coastline. My story stitched into denim.
